Happy Birthday, Kaiden: Part 1

Kaiden's 1st birthday is on October 2nd, but we wanted to make sure that he had his first "big boy birthday bash" to help celebrate this huge milestone! Some of our dearest friends (and surrogate grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins) joined us this past Saturday at our home. Here is just a glimpse of the photos that we took from the day! (I hate that I didn't get as many pictures as I wanted...but it's hard being the hostess and trying to fit pictures in too!)

Our dear friend made these "bouquets" out of cookies. Her two girls decorated each of the pots as well. Every kiddo took a cookie home at the end of the night along with their goodie bags.

Here's the beginning of the day with some of the kids playing with Kaiden's toys.

The girls were such good helpers. They spent a bunch of time teaching Kaiden to walk all around the house behind his push truck.

Here are some friends lingering around the table after dinner.

Time for cake! Here are some of the kiddos with Kaiden right before we cut into the cake! Mmmm...

Kaiden wasn't too sure of cake. In fact, he took the plate and turned it over, took the cake and threw it on the floor and really didn't eat any of it!

After cake, the troops were all getting restless. It was a long day and everyone needed their Zzzz's. So we woke up the next day and opened the presents from everyone that came.

This one was sent from Grandpa and Grandma in PA. We just couldn't resist giving this one to him early! He loves it!

Here's my precious boy....about to turn 1!

Stay tuned for part two of Kaiden's birthday!

He's so adorable! Fantastic pictures - sure looks like a good time was had by all. Isn't it hard to believe that a whole year has gone by? Sweet Pea had a lot of fun playing with her cake and getting messy - made for some good pictures. Happy almost Birthday, Kaiden!
