Children's Building

Our church has been in the process of constructing a new children's building to house all the children's classrooms. Currently they are in a huge tent-like structure and are in dire need of a new and improved dwelling! They are almost at the completion phase, but before they lay the carpeting and flooring, our pastor invited the whole congregation to write on the concrete. So, this past weekend the building was open before and after each service so that we all could "leave our mark" with markers. You could write prayers, scripture verses, notes, drawings, etc. Whatever was on your heart. It was such a great idea. I even got a little choked up knowing that the foundation of this building was truly built on God's Word. After services on Sunday we picked up Kaiden from the nursery, headed to the children's building, grabbed our marker and left our mark. It was fun! I even think that Kaiden enjoyed crawling around on the dusty floors! Here are a few pictures of our experience.

We found what would be the K-1 classrooms (since that's where Kaiden would be first) and began!

"Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it." Proverbs 22:6

Daddy and Kaiden. This is the main area of the bottom floor of the building. See all the people? It was packed!

Kaiden left his mark. We traced his hand and wrote a note to God!
